To me, the plant is very much a "Plain Jane," but the SCAPE! Easily 6 feet tall here and they stand straight up! No floppy scapes on this one!

(Roberts-N., 1997) Height 25", bloom 6.5", season EM, Semi-Evergreen, Diploid, UF Crispate, Purple self with a yellow throat.

Stunning presentation, color and great growth habit, which is why I continue to use it as a breeder.

I can see why the hybridizer shed tears of joy for this one! It's so cute and tiny, I want to pinch its cheeks!

(Reckamp-Klehm, 1987) Height 21", bloom 7", season MLa, Dormant, Tetraploid, Fragrant, Yellow with pink cast and green throat.

Always a favorite and the pic never does it justice. I've tried for years to turn it into a UF.:)

This is a big one, folks. I wonder what genetics it has to give to our future?

This was a well branched plant, parentage unk. Since I didn't like the brown color, I gave it away, later to find that there are people who like brown. Oops.

A number of years ago a good friend gifted me with a piece of a sib to Cameroon Night. It was skinnier-petaled than CN, so I used it with my tet UF's.

Approximately 8", 42", fertile both ways.

Sib of Carmine Monarch x - 1

Approx. 7", 38", 15 bud count. Fertile both ways.

Approx 8", 40", fertile both ways.

Yes, that's right. The garden name is "large orange curly sepal." I hope to get better stats at the National this year, where it will be featured in the "Lady's Garden" at Cindy Osman's.

2012

Highland Pinched Fingers x Web Browser has given me a few keepers. This is about a 9" flower.

Approximately 6", 36", nicely branched and fertile both ways.

Thumb Print x Web Browser, large flower.

Used as a bridge plant early in my tet UF program, this one stayed around because of the great branching and easy fertility.

(Baxter, 2002) Height 18", bloom 4", season E, Dormant, Diploid, Fragrant, Polymerous 100%, Cream with purple eye above chartreuse throat. (Forsyth Tepaled Double X Dempsey Foursome)

As the hybridizer says, it is variable in amount of polying. Can be 4 x 4, 5 x 5 or more, can pass on poly traits to offspring.

(Ridder, 2016)

Betty informed me that this daylily is incorrectly spelled as Trisigma Love. It will be corrected in the AHS database.

Not widely grown, it is a RARE plant and is VERY pod fertile!

(Rice-J., 2007) Height 28", bloom 5.5", season MLa, Dormant, Tetraploid, Unusual Form Crispate, Rich purple self above green throat.

Fertile both ways, I've been using this with taller cv's. GORGEOUS deep purple!

This may be an oldie, but it's given me some of my keepers as a "spiderer," a plant that elongates petals.

Purchased in 2012 as a very mature CLUMP, I think that I'd better share the wealth before this monster overgrows its neighbors!
